chowder

Chowder: First Course was a proposed reboot of Chowder that had been pitched by original series creator. C. H. Greenblatt in 2024, at the request of Cartoon Network. The series was not picked up, as Cartoon Network was reportedly unable to afford it.[1] After revealing the show, Greenblatt began sharing concept art on his Instagram page in May 2026.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]

Overview

The show was intended to be aimed at a younger audience and would have reimagined and changed aspects from the original series. Instead of working at Mung Daal's Catering Company, Chowder, along with Panini and Gorgonzola, was going to be a student at a culinary school, with other characters from the original series as faculty members.

I re-imagined it so that instead of a catering company, Chowder went to a culinary school with Panini and Gorgonzola. All the other familiar faces are faculty there, but the stories focus more on the three kids getting into trouble. Sadly, CN said they had no money to make it, so it never went anywhere. I'll post some of the fun art I did for it here."
